Series 100 Clutch Kit

Clutchplace offers high-performance industry-exclusive upgrades for import and domestic applications. Designed for automotive enthusiasts who want increased durability and performance at a reasonable price, each clutch kit comes in a platform to match the performance enhancement made to the vehicle.

Because some vehicles are used in situations where O.E. specs just don’t measure up, we’ve engineered heavy-duty and high-performance Series Upgrade (SR) New Clutch Kits that feature a unique combination of application-specific torque capacity, coefficient of friction, and clamp load characteristics.

Each SR Upgrade relies on time-tested proven technology to provide longer life and optimum performance, while also taking into account the fact that each component must work in conjunction with the other driveline components. It’s a delicate balancing act. If clamp load and torque capacity ratings are increased too much, component failure will likely occur in other areas such as the mechanical or hydraulic linkage. If these ratings are increased too little, the components will simply fail when subjected to the added operating demands.

SR100 Clutch Kits are designed for applications in which a mild improvement in clutch capacity is required. Organic friction material is utilized in order to provide drivability characteristics that are similar to the stock clutch. The organic material is usually bonded to a steel backing plate yielding higher burst capacity. SR100 Kits yield minimal mating surface wear and are therefore ideal for drivers with limited manual transmission experience.

Note for car:

Applications:
• Engineered for applications with stock engines and/or mild upgrades of 25 horsepower or less.
• Ideal for applications where aggressive up shift and downshift capability is important combined with stock like drivability.

Contents:
• Heavy-duty pressure plate upgraded with increased clamp load (except as noted in the application listing).
• Heavy-duty disc lined with organic steel backed friction material for superior burst strength (unless otherwise listed).

Specifications:
• Clutch capacity increased up to 20%.
• Significantly higher clutch disc burst strength.
• Engineered to be compatible with the OEM hydraulic/cable clutch release system.

*Note for truck:

Applications:
• Engineered for trucks with engine upgrades less than 50 horsepower.
• Ideal for towing or hauling loads slightly above the vehicles rated capacity, or for drivers with minimal clutch experience.

• *Spike torque capacity increased by up to 100%

*Note: Spike torque is 'real world' torque, not engine torque, OEM discs are designed to fail if spike torque loads exceed preset limits.
